Why is it that if I am holding my sleeping child and stand up or sit down or breathe funny, she wakes up immediately...but if the SMOKE ALARM goes off right outside her bedroom while she's asleep...NOTHING?!?!? Unbelievable.
Or why is it that a child can sleep through anything -- like a sister screaming across the room -- until Daddy makes the slightest noise at 5 am and then he is up at at 'em??? Ugh!

Like any child she has selective hearing...it's just that now it is tuned to hear you and later it will not be!
