Success!

So I decided that since I'm going to be 17 months old tomorrow, I'd throw my parents a bone. You should hear these two bozos with their "Can you say 'blah'?" and "Can you say 'Blech'?" They really sound ridiculous. My mommy has even brought up talk of speech therapy. So I thought I'd show them that I really know what's up, I'm just too busy to talk most times.

(Note from Mommy: Of course, right before we got the video camera, she was saying "Baby!" over and over again sooooooooo cutely! But she must be a little camera shy...she's gotta get over that...)

Talkin' 'bout a Revolution!

So while my daddy was away studying battlefields, I decided to pay homage to history as well. You see, my daddy went on a field trip for work to visit Cowpens, SC, the site of a Revolutionary War battlefield. I decided to dress the part while he was away...stay tuned for more pictures of my daddy!

Baby, I'm cookin' now!

Hello folks! Christmas was so much fun, but it continued when we got home! Waiting for me on our doorstep was a wonderfully enormous box! Now, Mommy says the best gifts come in small packages, but I'm pretty sure that enormous packages have got to be good too! It sat in our front hall for a few days, but one morning when I woke up, a surprise was waiting for me!

I have my very own kitchen! It looks and sounds just like Mommy's! The frying pan makes frying noises (of course) and the pot makes boiling noises! The microwave beeps and the clock ticks and the work light lights up! I overheard Mommy say something about 10 batteries, but it's well worth it!

Look! There's a drawer that pulls out and is full of utensils!

But I think they look much better on the floor! The metal ones make such a wonderful clanging noise!
I do know how to pick up though.

The best part of my new kitchen is that Mommy serves me snacks in it! I love to cook Cheerios in my frying pan and eat grapes here too. I love coming up with new concotions and culinary delights! Stop by soon and I'll fix you a Diana special--apple juice and yogurt drops.

By request...

Hello again everybody! My Grandpa Jimbo requested pictures of Santa, so here we are. You see, I must have been a VERY good girl, because the big man himself came to visit ME on Christmas morning! Grandma came with him, but Grandpa Jimbo missed out, because he had to go to church. So I guess that why he wants to see the pictures. I was a little nervous about the jolly ole elf. My mommy and daddy tried to get pictures with me and him a couple of times before Christmas, but I wouldn't have it. Much screaming and clinging ensued. So I was a little apprehensive when he showed up on Auntie Wendy's doorstep. Fortunately, he broke the ice with a present. A great icebreaker for any gal, but especially for me. I LOVE to open presents. He brought me my very own ELMO laptop! I love that little red monster...he's so great!

Then, he had these cool bells on a strap that he let me shake. I love me some noisemakers!

Santa also brought presents for everyone else! I figured I would sit on Daddy's lap while he sat on Santa's lap and help open his present. Also show Santa a little love.

More presents! This guy is pretty good.

Look Santa! His eyes go back and forth! It's so funny!

Santa also figured out the second best way to a girl's heart...give her some cinnamon raisin bread. I tell you, this guy is real good. I love Elmo, but I really love raisin bread.

So me and the big fella are pretty tight now. Presents, food, what more could you ask for? Maybe next year, I'll sit on his lap all by myself! Maybe. We'll see.

Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful Christmas. I had so much fun seeing everyone. I love all my new toys and pretty clothes. Mommy and Daddy wanted me to say a special thanks to everyone for the thoughtful singing presents. They help me remind Mommy and Daddy how much you all love me every day. I can't wait to see you all again soon.

Oh yeah. One more thing...Daddy, I thought I told you I don't like hats. Cute dresses are okay, but this hat has to go.
