New videos

Since it's just me, and I'm not feeling very witty this morning, I'll just put up the movies. That's really what you want to see, right? :)

Last Thursday, I hosted the wives of CG9 for coffee and dessert, so Daddy and Diana got to have another DDDN (Daddy-Daughter Date Night). Here they are getting ready to leave...

This is video showing off Diana's new mimicing skills. We showed off for Daddy last week one day when he got home from work, and I've never seen him so excited! Here it is for all of you...notice she always gets a little distracted in the middle...

Weekend Fun

What a big weekend we had planned! Mommy and Daddy have been getting me all excited about this being "Potty Training Weekend." I had a whole bunch of cute panties with Elmo and princesses that I was so excited to try out. I even learned how to say "panties" just for the occasion. However, even though Mommy and Daddy were ready for potty training, I wasn't. I had lots of fun sitting on the potty, reading stories. I even liked the idea of getting my first M&M. However, I decided to hold off my big day for another weekend.

Today, I decided to combine a number of my favorite activities and new skills. As you all know, I love flipping though books and magazines. I have also learned to say many new words. Today, I was able to join these two activities with my third favorite activity, manipulating Daddy.

The Pottery Barn Kids catalog showed up at our house this weekend. In it, there was a cute house for little girls to play in. When I saw it, I looked at Daddy and said, "Wan." Thankfully Mommy was there to translate. Mommy knew I was saying "want." She then asked the natural follow-up, "What do you want, Diana?" I quickly responded (looking at Daddy), "house."

Daddy went into complete defensive mode thinking of every reason why I shouldn't have this $150 house. He finally asked me a question that allowed me to hook him. "Diana, where would we possibly put that in our house?" I pointed to my room. Now snap to it, Daddy.

As Daddy built me my house, I continually reminded him what he was building. "House," I would say. "House." When he finally finished, I went in to check it out.

Hmm. Looks pretty good. It comes fully furnished with a table, chairs, kitchen, TV, and plenty of toys. I think I'll take it.

Come on in. Let's play.

Drinkin' the Kool Aid

Even though my two Packer fans in the midwest visiting family, I find myself rather excited for today's Packer game. Could it be because I miss my girls so much? Or could it just be that the Colts play Monday night? Either way, hurry home you two...and Go Pack!!

Proud Citizens

Good morning, Mommy and Daddy. Do you know what today is? Yes, Daddy, it is college football gameday, but there's something even more important going on today.

It's a day to answer this question I so skillfully wrote on my sign below. "Dear Mommy and Daddy, What were you too busy doing when they took away my freedom and mortgaged my future? Love, Me."

So what do you do when your 2 year old asks you such a pointed question (especially when she's so darn cute)? You take her somewhere, anywhere, to help her find the answer. You take her to read this important quote from a very special, underread document..."Congress shall make no law...abridging...the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
So, we went for a little walk...

...with some of the greatest people on earth...our fellow Americans.

And what a glorious and inspiring scene it was!

The silent majority will be silent no longer.

Hundreds of thousands of freedom loving Americans traveled from across the country to send a message to both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue that they should not underestimate the will of the American people.

As our good friend Glenn Beck says:
The will of the American people is to return to these 9 principles and 12 values:
Principles:
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God, and he is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law, you pay the penalty. Justice is blind, and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have, and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Values:
Honesty
Reverence
Hope
Thrift
Humility
Charity
Sincerity
Moderation
Hard Work
Courage
Personal Responsibility
Gratitude
Events like today prove why this country is great and will continue to be great. Despite what you see on TV, this generation of Americans is still committed the tenets of the Constitution, our republic, and capitalism. All across the country, Americans are filling wagons like the one below.
"Danger: Future Right Wing Extremist. Contents being armed with responsibility and constitutional ideals."
The American dream has always been to provide a better future to our children than we enjoyed ourselves. This dream will not end with us.

Thanks to a committed, and now energized, citizenry. Continue to make your voices heard. It's a long time 'til next November, and a lot of damage can be done between now and then.

Flip this House in 2010.

God bless America!!

Lunch with Daddy

I love Daddy's new job. He's surprised me twice this week by coming home for lunch. Today he made both of us his very most favorite sandwich -- peanut butter and banana. Conveniently enough, this combines two of my very most favorite foods.

It was delicious, to say the least.

However, adding the banana to my usual peanut butter sandwich did add new challenges for me. It would seem that bananas make peanut butter sandwiches much bigger. They no longer fit nicely into a little girls mouth. That's okay. Wearing peanut butter is almost as fun as eating it.

I'm not a big fan of being messy, however, so Daddy, give me that fork, please. I'm still hungry.

Parties, parties, parties

I love this time of year. Summers always seem to bring lots of visits from so many fun people. In June and July, I got to see all my grandmas, grandpas, auties, and uncle multiple times. In August, I got to meet new friends whose daddy's go to school with my daddy. September brought a visit from Wawa and Bobo. Here I am playing with Bobo on my swingset.

We had so much fun playing. Wawa and Bobo also brought me a great "new" table for my playroom. It was my Mommy's when she was a girl, but it's been refinished just for me. It now has my favorite little red monster on it.

I also got to see one of my biggest blog fans, Samantha. It's so nice to meet a fan, especially when they're the really fun type. We had so much fun playing together. I taught her how to play cornhole, she taught me how to make toys fashionable.

I'm so glad we're living in Virginia now where all these fun people can come visit me. Come back soon everyone.
Ding. You're now free to move about the country.
