It’s hard to believe that our big girl is already 6 years old! We had a family celebration on her actual birthday, with a swimming party planned for this weekend. After church, we had a cinnamon roll lunch, followed by round 1 of present opening!
Diana shook the box and realized what was inside…
…the Lego house!
Look! A Kohl’s credit card!
Oooo…what am I going to buy???
A Sofia the First dress-up gown!
With the matching amulet that talks!
A nightgown with a matching one for her doll…Cara opened one from Nana and Papa earlier and Diana was really hoping to get one too! She wasn’t disappointed!
Reading her card from Gracie and Adalyn
Diva!
Pretty hair bows!
The things Daddies will do for their daughters…when Diana told us she wanted a Hello Kitty cake, Mommy was prepared to order one for her. However Daddy thought it would be more fun to make one. I admit, I had my doubts. And in fairness, they were partly justified since the first set of cakes they baked ended up stuck in the pans…
But after I helped make the second batch of cakes, the decorating was all on Daddy…
…the finished product! The smudged whisker came when a “helper” got too close…he did an amazing job!
Diana spent nap time coloring her new Sofia purse from N&P…
…and putting together the Lego bakery!
After a family dinner at the fine dining establishment known as Chuck E. Cheese, we returned home from present opening, round 2, and cake!
Candle extinguishing, take 1…
Let’s try that again!
Daddy with his masterpieces!
Our girls with their nightgowns from N&P
She had a wonderful birthday and we thank you all for your calls, songs, cards and gifts!
