Now that the rains have finally departed Northern Virginia, we are finally able to get outside and enjoy some autumn fun. We celebrated Columbus Day by visiting the local pumpkin patch last Monday. I think we’ll take these three home with us.
Cara, how should we get our pumpkins home?
C: A horse.
This weekend, we made a trip out to a very fun fall festival at Cox Farm. There were tons of things to do for the little people. The girls thought they might be able to get around the farm more quickly if they had some bigger feet.
The first stop could have occupied them for hours. There was a hay-filled fort with tunnels, steps, and of course, lots of hay.
It was very cute watching the wee one toodling around after her big sister.
It was also nice watching Diana ensuring her little sister always made her way back out to the top.
Much cuter than the original, if I do say so myself.
Most of the rest won’t need commentary. The faces speak for themselves. Just know that for every picture of a girl going down a slide or swinging on a rope, there were about 20 other photos that didn’t make the blog cut. The girls didn’t stop for 4 straight hours.
Inside the corn maze.
Didn’t have any takers at the farm, so we’re moving to an on-line auction.
D, despite it being a brown cow, it does not produce chocolate milk. Please leave that poor cow alone.
Oh great. Now the wee one wants a turn. I think the girls now appreciate how much easier it is to just open the refrigerator and pour a glass than it is to produce it the old fashioned way.
There really is only 1 way to exit a barn properly…on a ginormous potato sack slide.
McDonald’s New Mascot - Eat Mor Bergurz!
After a busy morning, it was tough to decide what to do next. Fortunately, Cox Farm thought of everything and included a “What to do next” wheel.
It landed on a hayride.
Christmas Card?
Great autumn day. Now home to watch the taped Mildcats. Please don’t call with a final score if you get immediate mobile updates on our blog postings.
