Snowpocalypse 2014

Well, we finally got a real snow storm here in Virginia!  We got about 8 inches overnight, which is a lot for us!  It shut the city down for 2 days, so we had lots of fun sledding and being outside!

We kept meaning to put our patio furniture away...oops...

Attempting to shovel out the driveway...

Olivia, Juliet and Diana building a snowman

Cara had enough!

Diana and Mara Jade in the beginnings of the fort her daddy made...he had the brilliant idea to fill a Rubbermaid tote with snow and use it for bricks for the fort!  Something to remember for next time!

Friday was Valentine's Day!  We had heart pancakes for breakfast and the girls got flowers and cards!

Mommy and Daddy went shopping separately, yet bought identical cards for Diana!

The plow finally came through late Thursday, so Friday morning was spent digging out.  Unfortunately, we had a bunch of freezing mist prior to that, so we had a snow bank full of snow boulders.  Here is Scott training for World's Strongest Man!

Isabelle sledding down the hill in our backyard...the temps got up to the 50s on Friday, so jackets were optional...

We are so blessed with a wonderful neighborhood this year, full of kids that love to have fun outside!  We will surely miss it when we move this summer!  :(
