This weekend, Diana and Mommy had a date day where we celebrated her birthday (a week late) with a trip to the nail salon, lunch, and shopping to use her birthday money!
The first big event was Diana got to ride in the car for the first time with a seatbelt instead of a harness!
Next we went to get our nails done! We went to a special salon that had a special chair for little girls! It had butterfly wings on the back and a DVD played where Diana got to watch “Up” while getting her pedicure!
She thought it was so cool that the water changed color (with different lights)! She’s a pedicure natural…didn’t laugh or jerk around while getting her feet scrubbed!
The finished product! She chose gold glitter for her toenails and red glitter for her fingernails.

Diana’s clothes that she bought with her gift card from Grandma! See a theme?
Diana with her toys she got with her gift card from Auntie Wendy and Uncle Rob!
As you could probably see in the previous picture, Cara and Daddy had a big day as well! Since she is such a big girl now, Mommy and Daddy decided that she should have a big girl bed too, so Cara and Daddy spent the morning converting her bed!
All of these big girl events, coupled with Kindergarten starting this week, have led to a very traumatic week for Mommy. Sniff. But no, Mom, it’s not time to have another one.

Oh Becky - we are so in the same boat right now! Glad to hear Diana's birthday party was a success. We had a bounce house for Charlie's 5th birthday, too - our first experience - and it was great! Nice to see Cara in the big bed. Oliver loves his... now only if I could get him to care just a little bit about potty training. :)
